Tyler Barrow purchased the 2012 Volkswagen Golf R in November 2017 with the help of his father in-law. "After he passed away June of 2018," mentions Barrow, "is when I finally started the build." His father in-law was his inspiration for the build. "He loved anything gold," states Barrow, "and anything that was done proper." They always argued about whose car was faster - his father in-law's Porsche or his Volkswagen.

Barrow customizes and modifies the Golf R because of his father in-law and celebrates every moment with and of it.

"The way he pushed me to do better; to make the best build I possibly could. The worse part is he never saw it finished."
